A satirical ad by the Republican National Committee, equated U.S. President Barack Obama's plummeting popularity, to the Steven Slater scandal, which saw the JetBlue flight attendant, inappropriately deploy the aircraft's inflatable chute and abandon the plane, after a heated dispute with a passenger. 

The RNC ad shows prominent Democrats bailing on President Obama in rapid haste, sliding down Air Force One's airplane chute, due to declining poll numbers, regarding his job performance as Commander-in-Chief.
