According to other websites, "American Idol" runner up Clay Aiken, has been dropped from his record deal with Sony Music. Clay is the umpteenth contestant to face being dropped, joining the likes of Katherine McFee, Rubin Studdard, Taylor Hicks and many others. The show "American Idol" is one massive gimmick. It does not create anything of substance and shall not stand the test of time.

Clay Aiken Splits With His Label

Clay Aiken chart-topping days may be over. He’s reportedly split from his record label, RCA. According to Billboard, the two parted ways a couple of months ago following the low sales of On My Way Here, which Clay released before his children were born. And before he publicly came out of the closet.
