Britney Spears' mom, Lynne, has sought to justify her terrible parenting by stating all mom's make mistakes. However, she is in a class by herself with the severity of her wanton errors in parenting.

I think she is in denial. There are mistakes, then there is willfully allowing crazy conduct you know to be inappropriate for your child. Lynne Spears did that many times, when both her troubled daughters were underage, cementing a terrible foundation for them.
