Britney Spears New Song Facing Radio Ban

January 13. 2009

Britney Spears’ vulgar, profane new songIf You Seek Amyalso known as If You Seek Smut is facing a ban at radio stations in America. Considering this woman’s audience is still mostly teens, it’s pretty sad that they released such an item, trying to pass it off as music.

Britney's Latest Single Facing Radio Ban

Britney Spears' most recent single from her album Circus is facing a possible ban from North American Radio. The song, If You Seek Amy, has some controversial lyrics that radio stations across the country think is too offensive.

One of the verses allegedly includes the “F” word, and mother’s groups are up in arms! It’s the part in the song where Brit sings, “All the boys and all of the girls are beggin’ to, if you seek Amy.” And many people are swearing she sneaks a dirty word right in there at the end.

Patti Marshall from Cincinnati’s Q102 radio station told MTV, “It’s OK to put in on an album, have fun with it, but we’re publicly owned, you know? “We have a responsibility to the public, you put this… out and act like we’re all fuddy-duddies, like we’re trying to make moral judgments. It’s not about us. It’s about the mom in the minivan with her eight-year-old.”...
