September 7. 2012

Jonnie Peacock

Handsome British sprinting star, Jonnie Peacock, roared to a gold medal finish yesterday in the 100m Paralympics sprints in London, England. The home crowd erupted in thunderous applause for the 19-year-old from Cambridge, England and his record setting victory of 10.9 seconds.

Peacock's leg was amputated at age 5 after a serious bout with meningitis. The sportsman has worked hard for many years to become a world class athlete and his victory last night was a crowning achievement. Congrats to Peacock on his win.
