Considering NSA Spying Has Not Really Aided In Thwarting Terrorist Attacks Should It Be Scaled Back

There is proposed legislation designed to scale back the National Security Agency’s illegal spying on Americans. Recently, Congress discovered only one questionable terrorist attempt may have been averted by NSA spying, with emphasis on may have been.

President Obama and Congress claimed ignorance regarding the full extent of the NSA’s illegal spying and as such, legislation is in the works to address the criminal breaches of the U.S. Code and Constitution. Not to mention, the costs of spying on so many Americans is astronomical, well into the billions, usurping taxpayer money that could be better utilized elsewhere on items such as the education, the poor and homeless.
