David Copperfield Accused Of Rape

Reports have surfaced that David Copperfield's warehouse in Las Vegas was raided in connection with a rape allegation in Seattle, that occurred in the Bahamas.

I figured there was some sex crime alleged, as they took the camera's memory card, but why would the FBI and not the police be investigating a rape case. That's not the norm. Rape is a police matter. There must be more to this story than meets the eye, to have caused federal involvement. Either way, one is innocent until proven guilty.
