Early Voting In 2008 U.S. Election Tied

According to Gallup, early voting among supporters of Democrat, Barack Obama and Republican, John McCain appears to be evenly split.

As I've stated before, I am not putting too much confidence in these presidential polls, because as history has shown, there are underlying factors that can produce incorrect preliminary results that ends up contradicting the final tally.

Early Read on Early Voting, Could Reach 30%

Obama and McCain supporters voting early at about the same rate

PRINCETON, NJ -- Gallup Poll Daily tracking data indicate that about 11% of registered voters who plan to vote have already voted as of Wednesday night, with another 19% saying they plan to vote before Election Day. Roughly equal percentages of Barack Obama supporters and John McCain supporters have taken advantage of the early voting opportunity -- so far.
