Etta James To Beyonce: At Last I'm Gonna Whoop Your A**

Legendary singer Etta James let wannabe song stealer Beyonce have it for singing her song "At Last" during the President's inaugural first dance with his wife. I agree, it was not a good idea.

But Etta has to understand, most of Beyonce's songs are booty music and you just can't sing her typical trash in that type of setting.

Etta slammed Beyonce like a basketball and threatened, "She gonna get her a** whipped." And you know Etta would win too.

As many of you know, the song "At Last" is Etta James' signature song, that Beyonce messed up in a remake for the movie "Cadillac Records" and its accompanying soundtrack.

"At Last" is a difficult song to sing and is so well-known, much like "Respect" by Aretha Franklin. In this case, they should have used Etta's original, instead of going with a remake by yodeler Beyonce to promote the film. Jamie Foxx did that for the Ray Charles biopic and no one complained he didn't remake "Georgia On My Mind" for the film.

James is probably upset Beyonce messed up her life story as well, as the film bombed at the box office. Once again, as I've stated before, Beyonce was not the right actress. Maybe they won't make the same mistake with the casting for the Aretha movie, in giving the lead role to a singer who can't act.

Etta James: "You guys know your president right? You know the one with the big ears. Yeah, wait a minute, he ain't my president, he might be yours. I tell you that woman he had singing for him, singing my song, she gonna get her a** whipped. The great Beyonce. Now like I said, she ain't mine. I can't stand Beyonce! She had no business up there singing. Singing on a big ole, big ole presidential day and going be singing my song that I've been singing forever."
