FBI Still Working On Miley Cyrus Hacker Case

April 2. 2009

Miley Cyrus

The FBI is defending its poor performance of their criminal investigation into hacker, Josh Holly, 20, the perv that broke into teen singer Miley Cyrus’email/cell phone account and posted half nude photos of her all over the internet.

The FBI has been slower than Britney Spears in this case, which set new lows in internet exploitation of teens by hackers. By my count, he has racked up several charges:

Computer intrusion
Computer abuse
Harassment
Cyberstalking
Copyright infringement (she took the pics, therefore it's an automatic copyright under Berne)
Threatening a minor
Wire fraud
Distributing child porn

FBI Still Investigating Cyrus Hacker

Josh Holly, 19, was named as a prime suspect in the police investigation after detectives raided his Tennessee home in October and seized his computer equipment.

The teen was never arrested or charged in connection with the incident.

However, FBI officials are adamant that they have not dropped the case -- and are still working on gathering evidence.

FBI spokesman Special Agent Scott Augenbaum tells E! Online, ""We're still working on it.""...
