Hugh Jackman Mad About Wolverine Leak

April 9. 2009

Hugh Jackman

"Wolverine" star Hugh Jackman is angry and disappointed regarding the pirated leak of his film, in advance of its theatrical release.

He expressed his disapproval, while promoting the film this week. While, I do not feel sorry for unconscionable Fox, for reasons previously mentioned here, I can understand why Jackman is upset, as it is a terrible thing to happen to a film one has worked very hard to make. It is indeed very upsetting.

In other "Wolverine" related news, I recently read more of Roger Friedman's arrogant review of the leaked film that occurred before he was humiliatingly fired from Fox News.

He is one of two so-called journalists Madonna previously paid to defame me, in a case millions realize she is very guilty of, boycotting her career into oblivion. First Lloyd Grove was fired from the New York Daily News, now Friedman, who certainly got his comeuppance with this mess, is canned in disgrace as well. Once again, God doesn't sleep and you reap what you sow.

Kook columnist Roger Friedman thoughtlessly and crazily promoted piracy of his employer's sister company's film "Wolverine"

Fox was looking to get rid of Friedman anyway, as he has done illegal things through their company, that caught the attention of investigators, the fall out from which, is going to be terrible. More on that shortly.

However, his review was appalling, as he encouraged a particularly costly strain of piracy, by telling readers how easy it is to download "Wolverine" illegally from the privacy of their homes. Are you crazy.

Hugh Jackman Responds To ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine’ Movie Leak

...“Look, it’s serious crime and there’s no doubting that it was very disappointing,” Jackman said of the film’s online leak. “I was heartbroken by it because there are a lot of people here in Australia and all over the world working on this film, and to have it out there in that way was very disappointing.”

Wolverine claims his first casualty: Roger Friedman

April 7, 12:09 PM - Wolverine's ready to slice into some box office. Question: What can hurt more than Wolverine's claws? Answer: The unemployment line.

Veteran movie reviewer and columnist Roger Friedman was fired by Fox (or as they say "mutually agreed to part ways immediately" ) over the weekend for reviewing "X-Men Origins: Wolverine". Unfortunately for him, he based that review on an unfinished copy that's more than a little bit illegal to own. Friedman viewed the copy online proclaiming the 20th Century Fox actioner “exceeds expectations at every turn and that viewing it online was "so much easier than going out in the rain”.

Friedman posted the review on his Fox411.com blog Thursday and a fanboy backlash occurred. RopeofSilicon.com condemned the studio and Friedman for allowing the review even after bringing in the FBI and the MPAA to investigate the film's leak.

The site wrote: "Where does FoxNews.com come up with the balls to publish a review of an unfinished illegal copy of a film their sister company is so desperately trying to squelch the existence of?". Fan sites such as Rope of Silicon and Ain't It Cool News have denounced the leaked copy. Nevertheless, it's been downloaded over a million times...
