Judge Gets Comedic During Court Admonition

January 6. 2009

Cody Heap, 19

A hilarious judge decided to scare a teenage drunk driver straight, sans jail time, by telling him to improve his behavior, because if he threw him in jail, “You wouldn't last a night. You'll find strong men who've got faces only a mother could love that will pay a lot of attention to you - and your anatomy.”

Well said, judge!

Aussie judge's warning to teenage driver

It was a warning that should have put enough fear into any defendant to put them off crime for life.

When 19-year-old Cody Heap found himself in a Sydney court for driving offences, magistrate Brian Maloney warned him what he could expect if he was sent to jail.

'You wouldn't last a night. You'll find strong men who've got faces only a mother could love that will pay a lot of attention to you - and your anatomy,' he told him…

But despite offering a vivid depiction of life behind bars, Mr Maloney spared Heap a jail term, ordering him to do 150 hours of community service and banning him from driving until 2013.
