Kanye West Says Beyonce Greater Than Tina Turner

December 2. 2008

Kanye West

Why do singers always insist on doing interviews when they’re high. Crack smoking rapper/producer Kayne West, crazily proclaimed that thieving singer Beyonce Knowles is a living legend and greater than Tina Turner.

Is he crazy. When you say things like that people won’t take you seriously in the future. Clearly this guy does not know music history, because if he did, he wouldn’t make such drastically incorrect statements.

Tina Turner

Tina Turner sold 150 million more records than Beyonce, performed to many millions more in concert, headlined tours with crowds of 80,000 plus people in one go and has huge hits like "Proud Mary" and “What’s Love Got To Do With It.”

Beyonce has no huge hits that are or will become classics. Her songs are ignorant, illiterate and butchered rip offs of other people’s copyrighted music. Beyonce’s career already peaked in 2003/2004 with the song “Crazy In Love” and that track isn’t even strong enough to be a classic now or in the future.

the 80s called and it wants its hair back. Speaking of hair:

However, there is one parallel Beyonce has to Tina Turner. Jay-Z is Beyonce’s Ike. People have stated he physically roughs her up and hits her. He is a misogynist who has been caught on camera viciously punching and pushing another woman, anyway.

Furthermore, Jay-Z will spend her money on women, cars and drugs. She married a real beast, but she’s no angel herself.

Now that's class - Beyonce flashing the hairy armpits replete with a rash and clumpy deodorant. I didn't know they made armpit weaves.

As for Kanye, comparing himself to Elvis, he needs to go sit down somewhere. Elvis could sing, dance and act well (emphasis on the word "well" as some stars think, because they try something it means they are good at it, when that’s not so for some).

Elvis had massive hits that became big classics. To this day he is considered the top male artist in music history. Kanye had two hit albums and his current CD released this week sold half of what the previous one did.

Kanye’s 2007 CD “Graduation” sold “957,000” in one week. His 2008 CD “808s And Heartbreak” sold “443,000” copies in its first week of release. The Rockafella sales curse has struck again. I take it Jay-Z was not there to get the CDs run through the register more than once for you.

No you didn't!

Kanye's albums, might I add, heavily rely on sampling other people’s music. Sampling does not a legend make. This week, a reviewer also described Kanye’s singing as making his ears hurt.

To sum it up, there will never be a Kanye “Graceland.” With your falling sales there will be a Kanye wasteland.

Side bar: why does Kanye’s new song “Say You Will” which contains the same words as the title, repeated over and over again in the chorus of the song, remind me of Foreigner’s 1980’s track “Say You Will.” Oh, you’re so original Kanye. Not!
