Obama Citizenship Lawsuit Dismissed

October 27. 2008

Barack Obama

This is a follow up to the October 23, 2008 article Obama Birth Certificate Being Called Into Question. It was announced on October 25, 2008 that the case against Obama has now been dismissed.

Barack Obama (Democrat) and John McCain (Republican)

While, I do think he needs to present a certified copy of his birth certificate, to settle the now public argument that is rampant with all forms of speculation, at this point with Panamanian born Republican John McCain running on the opposing side, it really would be difficult to toss Obama out of the race based on this premise, under the circumstances.

Judge tosses lawsuit challenging Obama citizenship

Oct 25, 3:37 PM (ET) - PHILADELPHIA (AP) - A federal judge has dismissed a lawsuit challenging Barack Obama's qualifications to be president.

U.S. District Judge R. Barclay Surrick on Friday night rejected the suit by attorney Philip J. Berg, who alleged that Obama was not a U.S. citizen and therefore ineligible for the presidency. Berg claimed that Obama is either a citizen of his father's native Kenya or became a citizen of Indonesia after he moved there as a boy.
