June 1. 2010

U.S. President Barack Obama held a press conference in the White House's rose garden today, to unveil an committee his administration has assembled, to investigate the BP/Transocean/Halliburton leak in Louisiana that has wreaked havoc on the region's environment and economy. The panel is headed up by former Florida Governor and environmentalist, Bob Graham.

Louisiana government officials are preparing for the worst, as they believe if a hurricane strikes during this storm season, the spewing oil will wash inland and contaminate the homes of residents. A strand of spilled oil was also spotted in Mississippi.
