Pelosi Approval Ratings Lower Than Dick Cheney's

June 5. 2009

Nancy Pelosi

U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's fall from grace continues, due to CIAgate, as a newly released Gallup poll revealed her approval ratings are lower than that of insufferable former Vice President Dick Cheney.

Madame Speaker needs to ask herself how she arrived at this place and resign before all her other dirty laundry starts coming out.

However, she was in China this week, stirring the doo doo, as per usual, condemning them over their human rights record, when there are plenty human rights abuses right here in America as well.

Why does she insist on messing with them. Try and keep the peace. Her words betray the fact she blames China for being economically successful, while America's finances went on a terrible downward spiral. You've verbally attacked their economy and their currency over the last year and it's a scapegoat for your failures as House Speaker.

The U.S. economic crisis is not China's fault and it's not the American people's fault - it's your fault, meaning the government, because you did not rein in Bush's mad war and certain crooked corporate entities that went on to create massive financial damage.

Dick Cheney

Why don't you focus on the human rights abuses in America. Seriously. For example, the FBI, the nation's federal law enforcement agency that is supposed to be answerable to Congress, keeps engaging in criminal negligence that violates the law and citizens' rights. Many people have died because of them or faced serious physical injury.

A doctor was murdered in church last week because the FBI once again, decided it was going to shirk its Congressionally sworn duties in allowing a violent extremist to roam free in society, after they were handed very credible evidence regarding his criminal intentions. Where's the legislation to criminalize such deliberate, careless failures by the FBI that happen on a regular basis?

Civil liberties in America are basically gone courtesy of wiretaps, bugging, hacking and email combing techniques being abused by agencies like the FBI and NSA. Where is the legislation to criminalize such deeply invasive conduct?

Young women in America are being exploited on the internet via cads uploading nude and semi-nude photos of them without their permission. Where is the legislation to criminalize such deeply invasive conduct?

Prisoners are being sexually abused at facilities all over the country, with prosecutors neglecting to bring charges against guards and other prison officials for the misconduct.

Once again, what are you going to do to fix these problems?

A race to the bottom - Cheney versus Pelosi

Former Vice President Dick Cheney has won rave reviews from conservatives and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has gotten grief from from the liberal wing of her party — but the two are in one heck of a race for the lowest approval rating among Americans.

A new Gallup poll shows that Pelosi, embroiled in a controversy about what the CIA did or did not tell her about enhanced interrogation techniques used on terrorism suspects, at the moment holds the crown for the lowest favorable rating – 34 percent.

Pelosi says China stalling on human rights

WASHINGTON (AFP) — US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said that she saw no progress in China on human rights, regretting that neither economic reforms nor US pressure were making Beijing budge.

But Pelosi vowed to be "relentless" in keeping the heat on Beijing over its human rights record, rejecting suggestions that she backed away from her longtime advocacy on the issue during a recent trip to China.

Pelosi deplored that Beijing was still holding prisoners for taking part in the Tiananmen Square democracy protests crushed 20 years ago this week.
