January 9. 2015

John Boehner

John Boehner retains his position as Speaker of the House in the U.S. Congress. Boehner is one of President Obama’s most outspoken critics. The two are sure to square off on a number of serious issues for the remainder of his term, as the Republican led Congress, debate legislation they aim to write into law.

Barack Obama

Obama is being referred to as a “lame duck president” a term often invoked when the commander-in-chief’s party suffers losses in Congress eroding their majority voting capabilities. President Obama for his part is relying on pushing through his political plans via executive order, but things still could get messy. If they do not work together the Democrats and Republicans will not accomplish anything for the remainder of Obama’s term.
