Rapper Chief Keef Arrested For Home Invasion, Theft, Assault And Battery

Indie rappers Bobby Shmurda and Chief Keef, respectively, became famous for releasing low budget songs and music videos to the internet, which went on to become quite popular, landing the budding stars major label record deals. Ironically, both are now the subject of criminal charges in separate cases.

Shmurda, real name, Ackquille Pollard, recently accepted a 7-year plea deal on criminal charges of racketeering, conspiracy to commit murder, attempted murder, drug dealing and illegal arms. Now 21-year-old drug addicted rapper, Chief Keef, real name, Keith Cozart, has been arrested for home invasion and assault.

Keef and a few of his cohorts broke into the home of the rapper's former producer, Ramsay Tha Great, then assaulted and robbed him at gunpoint. Keef and his friends are accused of stealing a Rolex watch, rings and $1,600 in cash. The incident occurred on January 19, 2017 in the Los Angeles suburb of Tarzana, California, where Keef also resides. Fellow residents of Tarzana include singer Chris Brown, whose home was invaded in a separate incident with $50,000 in cash, plus valuable goods stolen during the theft.

Keef and two of his friends have been arrested for the Ramsay Tha Great burglary and assault. Keef has bailed out of jail, posting the $500,000 bond. Ramsay That Great is threatening to take a huge chunk of Keef's $6,000,000 in cash and assets over the incident, vowing to file a lawsuit in the matter.

Chief Keef, whose real name is Keith Cozart, allegedly robbed the producer of a Rolex, rings and $1,600 in cash, while being armed with an assault rifle on January 19.
