Rihanna Gets Gun Tattoos

March 26. 2009

Rihanna

Singer Rihanna, who is currently embroiled in an assault case, where her boyfriend Sony Music artist, Chris Brown, beat her up, after she started hitting him over a text message, is being slammed on many internet sites for getting three guns tattooed on her body.

She flew in a tattoo artist from New York, to ink the violent imagery on her body, which has many people online questioning her sanity.

Chris Brown

It's this love of all things violent, glorifying deeds of that nature, bragging about fighting men and viciously hitting her brother in the head with a glass bottle, that is drawing virulent criticism of her, rather than sympathy.

An Open Letter to Rihanna and Her Revolver

Dear Rihanna,

Enough. We get it. You’re a good girl gone bad. The inky black hair, the scowling face, the dominatrix-style apparel—clearly, you’re bad to the bone.

Here’s what we don’t get. The gun tattoo. (Unless your new persona is Annie Oakley?)

Why on earth, pray tell, would you have a revolver visibly tattooed on you? You, of all people, who recently (and publicly I might add) experienced a horrific act of violence inflicted upon you. It’s disturbing on so many levels. Please tell us it’s a water gun. Or, better yet, it’s henna.

Did you ever, for once, think about your adoring tween fans, and if they’d be inspired enough to perp walk in your high heels? Even more, did you seriously consider your professional commitments? Hello, Cover Girl? I highly doubt they have a cover-up strong enough to mask your violence-glorifying piece of body art.

Thankfully, tattoo (and makeup) artist extraordinaire Kat Von D has created a concealer powerful enough to expertly hide imperfections that you will, hopefully, be slightly ashamed of, in say, a day or two.

Perhaps you should consider it as ammunition.

Next time you’re at the tattoo parlor, we sincerely hope you’re a little less trigger-happy...

Rihanna Gets A Tattoo, Of A Gun!

Rihanna flew out tattoo artist BangBang from NYC to LA for a night to give her some new ink however, I doubt she expected him to post the photos of her new tat's to his MySpace page and, cause a bit of controversy.

...Guns promote violence not peace!

This is the same girl who was just beaten by her boyfriend and, now she is getting tattoos of guns on her body? I think Rhianna might need some help, this is totally the wrong message to send!

Some say the tattoo might be a message of strength and whatnot but, I think its really tacky! Thoughts?!
