Supreme Court Rejects Obama Citizenship Case

But Others Lurk In Lower Courts

December 8. 2008

President-elect Barack Obama and family

The U.S. Supreme Court has taken the cowardly way out once again and refused to hear a case requesting clarity on the citizenship of president-elect Barack Obama.

I do not want Obama to lose the presidency. As I have stated in the past, the mere fact that the government allowed Republican nominee John McCain to run as such, when he was born to American parents outside U.S. shores in Panama, says they cannot in good faith equitably challenge Obama’s nomination and win in any kind of ethical fashion. However, the truth regarding the president-elect’s birth needs to be established.

I have written about this issue before and the more members of the Judiciary continue to dance around it, is the worse speculation will become. It is going to undermine his presidency and the Constitution, if the truth is not established once and for all.

The issue is clearly not going away, spawning multiple lawsuits. Not to mention, having people questioning whether a head of state was legally elected will cause many problems in the future.

Based on what politicians have stated, the American government is trying to repair the nation’s name in the world after the damage Bush wrought. Transparency in this vital issue pertaining to the Constitution is, therefore, very important.

Obama needs to present an official, original copy of his birth certificate to settle this issue once and for all.
