Teen Stomps Gay Man To Death In Drunken Rage

January 27. 2011

Ruby Thomas

At age 19, South London resident, Ruby Thomas, stamped a gay man to death in historic Trafalgar Square. She and her friends were out drinking and it went too far. Thomas hurled sex slurs at 62-year-old, Ian Baynham, as she killed him in a merciless, drunken rage. She is now serving the remaining half of a seven year prison sentence in England.

As the Judiciary Report has stated before, when some people drink alcohol to excess, they either fall asleep or become what is known as a "mean drunk." Thomas was the latter and another painful reminder people are not to use alcohol to the point of illegal inebriation.

Alcoholism has become a regrettable part of world culture, with teens and adults alike, thinking its cool to drink until one is drunk. Heavily promoted alcohol brands, makes it all look so fashionable and appealing via television, film and internet spots. However, drunkenness has led people to engage in outlandish behavior they normally would not if they were sober.

No one deserves to be killed for being gay or any other label in this world. We have our differences, but we must learn to respect human life and dignity, whilst pursuing a peaceful existence.
