Sony Music artist Usher had a scare yesterday before the Grammys, when his wife suffered serious complications from plastic surgery in Brazil.

Tameka Foster, who left her ex-husband to be with Usher, needed the services of a top neurosurgeon, after reacting poorly to the procedure. The two currently live in Atlanta, but she went to Brazil, seeking privacy for the surgery.

Her body had already been through a lot recently, as she gave birth to two children in separate pregnancies, in a short space of time. She is also almost 40 years of age. These factors present additional risks in any type of surgery.

Suffering from insecurity over leaving her husband for a younger famous man and his fans slamming her conduct and looks, Tameka opted for surgery. There’s nothing wrong with plastic surgery, but she did it for the wrong reasons.

Usher Cancels Pre-Grammy Performance Due To 'Serious Injury In The Family'
