The World’s Cheapest Car – Tata Nano

March 24. 2009

Tata, a word sometimes used by rappers to signify women’s breasts, has launched the world’s cheapest car called the Nano.

The Nano is an adorable vehicle. It’s cute and stylish. It looks like you could fit it on a key ring – no, not just the keys, the actual car.

Hopefully, it will stand up to the rigors of the road, as that will be the true test. Considering it’s so small, though, each model really should have airbags.

Nano promises to be, “The least polluting car in India.”

World's cheapest car is launched

The Tata Nano, the world's cheapest car, has been launched in India.

Costing just 100,000 rupees ($1,979; £1,366), the Nano will now go on sale across India next month, with deliveries starting in July.

Tata hopes the 10-foot (3-metre) long, five-seater car will be cheap enough to encourage millions of Indians to trade up from their motorcycles…
