Judge Dismisses Drake's
Defamation Lawsuit Against Kendrick Lamar And
Universal Music Group Over The Diss Track 'Not
Like Us'

This is a follow up to the
January 21, 2025 article "Drake
Files Defamation Lawsuit Against Universal Music
Over The Kendrick Lamar Song 'Not Like Us' But
This Time Under His Name." Drake sued
the label he records for, Universal Music Group,
over the song "Not Like Us" by fellow rapper,
Kendrick Lamar. Drake labeled the song
defamatory, as it refers to him as a pedophile,
among other things. Today, District Judge
Jeannette Vargas, dismissed Drake's case.
CNN reported Vargas stated in
her 38-page ruling, ."The average listener is
not under the impression that a diss track is
the product of a thoughtful or disinterested
investigation, conveying to the public
fact-checked verifiable content...the broader
context of a heated rap battle, with incendiary
language and offensive accusations hurled by
both participants, would not incline the
reasonable listener to believe that 'Not Like
Us' imparts verifiable facts."

I do not agree with the judge.
If you state something incendiary or damaging to
someone's reputation, even on a song, it better
be true. However, there is evidence to indicate
that Drake is indeed a "certified pedophile" as
Lamar rapped. One can deduce from his
interactions with then underage girls, Bella
Harris and Millie Bobby Brown, that Drake was
pursing minors for an inappropriate relationship
that is also very illegal.
Pedophilia is a problem in
Hollywood and it needs to be legally addressed
in criminal courts of law. So many underage
child stars were raped in Hollywood in a
practice that continues to this day. Victims are
left with severe trauma while Hollywood stars
and executives engage in massive cover-ups
regarding their crimes. This must stop. The
pedophiles need to be locked up.
