Reports Confirm Obesity And
Compromised Immune System Linked To Severity Of
Coronavirus Infections As Previously Stated On The Site

Boris Johnson is considered medically obese
In time stamped tweets I made on
Twitter.com and in items I published on this website, I
stated the
weight, age,
drinking and past drug use of
Britain's prime minister Boris Johnson, would play a
role in how severe his struggle would be with the coronavirus (Covid-19).
There has been an effort by Johnson's
spin doctors to paint Boris as fit as a fiddle, but the
fact of the matter is he is not and it has contributed
to how much he has struggled under the coronavirus. I
was not trying to insult him. I was merely trying to
point out a scientific fact I felt doctors and
scientists need to take note of, as it helps to
determine risk factors and the groups who need early
intervention via hospital care, as opposed to only
self-isolation at their homes.
Boris Johnson
Overweight and elderly are high risk
groups who need immediate medical care and monitoring
once they begin showing symptoms of the coronavirus. In
overweight people the body is not converting enough CO2.
That's the deficiency. It can lead to a host of medical
problems and complications, given the wrong environment
and circumstances.
On March 28, 2020, Boris Johnson
announced he has the coronavirus. One day later on March
29th and again on March 30th, I warned on Twitter.com
that he needed to have his heart monitored, which would
occur in a hospital setting, as his weight and age poses
a greater risk with coronavirus. I even tweeted this
information at Johnson's account. However, he
dangerously remained in self-isolation for 2-weeks
without seeing a doctor, which could have cost him his
life. During that 2-week period Boris deteriorated. At
the end of the 2-weeks Boris was rushed to the hospital
and admitted to the intensive car unit. Boris is still
in the hospital.
The Immune System
I have also made repeated reference to
the immune system and the important role in plays in
fighting disease, even as it relates to the coronavirus
(please see my time stamped tweets below from March 10,
2020).
1-MONTH LATER on April 8, 2020, the
French government's top epidemiologist, Professor
Jean-François Delfraissy, released information from
their recent scientific study, regarding obesity and the
significant risk it plays in struggling with the
coronavirus.
The Associated Press, Reuters, the New
York Times and Bloomberg News reported this week, "Being
overweight is a major risk for people infected with the
new coronavirus and the United States is particularly
vulnerable because of high obesity levels there,
France's chief epidemiologist said on Wednesday.
Professor Jean-François Delfraissy, who heads the
scientific council that advises the government on the
epidemic, said as many as 17 million of France's 67
million citizens were seriously at risk from the
coronavirus because of age, pre-existing illness or
obesity. 'This virus is terrible, it can hit young
people, in particular obese young people. Those who are
overweight really need to be careful,' Delfraissy told
franceinfo radio. 'That is why we're worried about our
friends in America, where the problem of obesity is well
known and where they will probably have the most
problems because of obesity.'" (please see RELATED
ARTICLES below for external site articles and citations
on the subject).
Boris Johnson loves to drink liquor and admitted
to previous cocaine use which compromises the immune
system. This in tandem with his obesity made it much
more difficult for him to recover from coronavirus.
A healthy and whole immune system will
fight off disease with greater efficiency. However, the
elderly have a weakened immune system, as their bodies
have been through more over time. It comes with aging.
However, the obese have a fatigued immune system, from
the heart having to work harder to pump blood, the lungs
not operating at full efficiency due to lack of fitness,
and the digestive system being heavily taxed from
working harder to digest food. Some diseases also begin
in the stomach. Therefore, obesity damages the immune
system and impairs its ability to properly function as a
line of defense against disease.
If you take a look at news reports on
television and observe photos online of coronavirus
patients, many are large in size and middle aged or
older. I've noticed this pattern. Even this week I was
watching a news report on television of coronavirus
suffers of all colors, all over America, being released
from hospital after weeks in intensive care then
recovery, and they were all big in size. Once again,
it's not an insult. It is an observed common thread.
To be clear, I am not stating if one is
a healthy weight one cannot contract coronavirus. What I
am stating is weight will make it harder to recover and
medical attention is required from the outset of the
infection. Do not wait until 2-weeks into the infection,
as Boris Johnson did, to seek medical attention.
If you are middle-aged and overweight,
or elderly and or overweight, and displaying the
symptoms of coronavirus, seek immediate medical
attention. If you do not do so in a timely manner, the
virus could shutdown your lungs and trigger a fatal
heart attack attack during self-isolation at home. Don't
take this for granted.
My time stamped tweets on the immune system from
last month:
My tweet regarding Prince Charles recovering from
coronavirus faster than Boris Johnson:
Ignored warnings
Another point of concern is the manner
in which the Tory government in Britain ignored all
warnings on under-funding their healthcare system, as
discussed on the site previously (Theresa May And Boris Johnson
Under-Funding Of The NHS Left The Health Service Ill-Prepared To Counter
The Effects Of The Coronavirus (Covid-19)). These poor choices
have real life consequences.
Contrast that with Germany, who have a
significantly lower death rate than Britain, regarding
coronavirus, as their government, headed by scientist
Angela Merkel, took the virus seriously (testing and
tracing). That's not to insult the British healthcare
system, which I think is great. I admire the National
Health Service (NHS). I think they do great work. I'm
not criticizing them. I am criticizing the Tory
government who under-funded them and did not give them
the tools they need to protect the public and
themselves.
I read an insulting and offensive
comment on Twitter, regarding a far right Boris Johnson
supporter blaming the NHS for not buying enough
protective equipment. This is the kind of propaganda the
far right are trying to spread to deflect blame from
Boris "herd immunity" Johnson and company.
How can the NHS order the significant
amount of protective gear needed without the funds to do
so. Their budget is already stretched thanks to the Tory
government. NHS workers are literally risking their
lives in administering life saving care. Some have
contracted coronavirus. Doctors and nurses have died in
Britain due to the coronavirus. Show some gratitude for
their sacrifice and stop spreading propaganda against
them.
I have been proven right in many things
I have warned about regarding Britain (among
other places and things). The incompetence of
the former British Prime Minister Theresa May and
incumbent Boris Johnson, is greatly alarming. Their
conduct has greatly damaging Britain and continues to do
so. From Brexit to the current coronavirus outbreak that
has pushed the under-funded NHS to the extremes, these
Tory politicans have failed Britain.

symptoms. The mortality rate for young people entering
hospital with severe COVID-19 respiratory disease was
about 2%, he said, but that rose to 14% for people who
are more fragile...

U.K. May Warn the Obese They’re More Vulnerable to
Coronavirus
April 9, 2020, 11:12 AM EDT - The
British government’s top scientific advisers discussed
evidence that excess weight is a significant risk factor
for those who contract Covid-19 at a meeting on Tuesday,
according to a person familiar with the talks. It’s not
yet clear if the government will decide to go ahead and
change its guidance to the public. The Department of
Health didn’t immediately respond to a request for
comment.
Data indicate being obese can lead to
more severe illness and hospitalization, the meeting of
the Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies was told.
Research published last year showed 29% of adults in
England were classified as obese.
The U.K. reported its highest daily
increase in the number of deaths from the disease on
Wednesday, as the pandemic heads toward an expected peak
in the coming weeks. France has already said obesity is
a risk factor for those with coronavirus, and the U.K.
scientists agreed it might be necessary to include the
warning in public advice, even though a person’s weight
isn’t the most critical factor determining the severity
of illness...

Hospital admission puts new focus on Boris
Johnson's health
Mon 6 Apr 2020 13.07 EDT - Last modified
on Mon 6 Apr 2020 14.39 EDT - Though a keen runner and
cyclist, the PM has struggled with weight, a coronavirus
risk factor. The news that Boris Johnson was admitted to
hospital for tests on Sunday night with persistent
coronavirus symptoms has shone a spotlight on the prime
minister’s health.
While Johnson is not known to have any
underlying health conditions, he has been open about his
struggle with obesity – a known risk factor for
coronavirus. According to a report published last week,
more than 70% of patients placed in intensive care after
being infected with Covid-19 were overweight, obese or
severely obese on the body mass index scale.
In December 2018, when Johnson was
foreign secretary, he said in the Spectator that he
weighed 16 and a half stone, which at 5ft 9in would have
put him in the obese category. Johnson has lost weight
since then, but it has fluctuated significantly
throughout his political career...
