Cardiff University Lab Study Demonstrates Mouthwash Kills Coronavirus Confirming Previous Site Claims About Mouth Cleanliness

This week Cardiff University in Britain announced they've used mouthwash to kill the coronavirus (Covid-19) in a lab setting. The London Evening Standard reported, "The latest test was carried out by scientists at Cardiff University’s laboratory. New scientific study has shown that mouthwash can eradicate coronavirus within 30 seconds of being exposed to it in a laboratory."

This supports what I stated 3-months ago regarding the coronavirus (Covid-19). In the August 14, 2020 article "Coronavirus Infection Rate Skyrockets Among American Kids With The Reopening Of Schools As Previously Predicted On The Site" I stated on this site, "Practice proper social distancing. Wear a proper mask. Wash your hands regularly and use approved hand sanitizers. Get the proper amount of sleep every night. Brush your teeth everyday as it is essential to keep your mouth clean (excess germs weakens the immune system and is an easy entry point). Consume foods high in vitamin C (and take a vitamin C tablet everyday by a reputable brand) as that boosts the immune system."

20 hours ago - The latest test was carried out by scientists at Cardiff University’s laboratory. New scientific study has shown that mouthwash can eradicate coronavirus within 30 seconds of being exposed to it in a laboratory.

The Cardiff University report said that preliminary results show mouthwashes containing at least 0.07 per cent cetypyridinium chloride (CPC) showed “promising signs” of being able to combat the virus.

Scientists must now look at whether mouthwashes have the potential to work in people, with a new clinical trial set to look at whether using over-the-counter mouthwash has the potential to reduce the levels of Covid-19 in a patient’s saliva.
