Coronavirus Cases Explode In America Leading To Re-Closing Of Select Businesses And A Travel Ban From The European Union (Video)

June 30. 2020

Dr. Anthony Fauci today warned the U.S. Congress that the massive uptick of coronavirus cases in America could top 100,000 per day. Where most nations of the world have the virus under control via testing and tracing, America continues to experience record highs.

The New York Times reported, "The number of new cases in the United States has shot up by 80 percent in the past two weeks." This has prompted a number of businesses in America to close again, rending another battering to the economy.

One of the main factors in the surge of coronavirus cases is some segments of the U.S. population refuse to social distance, wear masks and use hand sanitizer, continuing to believe the virus is a hoax. This is heartbreaking, as coronavirus does a significant amount of damage to the heart and lungs of those who contract it. Some coronavirus victims need transplants to stay alive, which entails a series of complex, painful and difficult procedures.

The European Union has also issued a travel ban against travelers from America, among a few other coronavirus hotspots in the world, until the outbreak is successfully contained and resolved.

Coronavirus Live Updates: U.S. Cases Reach New Record

More than 47,000 coronavirus cases were announced across the country and eight states announced single-day highs. Europe opens its doors — just not to Americans. Tuesday was the fourth time in a week that the United States posted a new single-day case record.

U.S. hits another record for new cases, as Fauci warns that a resurgence in the South and West ‘puts the entire country at risk.’ In parts of the Midwest, the numbers are rising again...

Dr. Anthony S. Fauci and Dr. Robert R. Redfield testified before the Senate as more states struggle to contain the coronavirus. “It is going to be very disturbing, I will guarantee you that, because when you have an outbreak in one part of the country, even though in other parts of the country they’re doing well, they are vulnerable. I made that point very clearly last week at a press conference. We can’t just focus on those areas that are having this surge, it puts the entire country at risk. We are now having 40-plus thousand new cases a day. I would not be surprised if we go up to 100,000 a day if this does not turn around. And so I am very concerned."

“The Covid-19 pandemic is the most significant global public health challenge that we have faced as a nation in more than a century. In the United States, daily cases are increasing after an extended decline. We’re seeing significant increases in the Southeast and Southwest regions of this nation. The number of jurisdictions in upward trajectory has continued to increase. Now 29 of 55 jurisdictions fall into this category."

"The evidence tells us that these cases are driven by many factors to include: increased testing, community transmission and outbreaks in the settings such as nursing homes and occupational settings. Hospitalizations now are going up in 12 states. While data is the backbone of this response, containing the outbreak depends on four core interventions: readily available testing, comprehensive contact tracing, timely isolation of known cases and quarantine to break the transmission. We are not defenseless against this disease. We have powerful tools at our disposal."...

European Union bans American citizens from entering amid U.S. coronavirus cases spike

Updated: June 30, 2020- 3:48 PM - BRUSSELS — The European Union will reopen its borders to travelers from 14 countries, and possibly China soon, the bloc announced Tuesday, but most Americans have been refused entry for at least another two weeks due to soaring coronavirus infections in the U.S.

As Europe's economies reel from the impact of the coronavirus, southern EU countries like Greece, Italy and Spain are desperate to entice back sun-loving visitors and breathe life into their damaged tourism industries. American tourists make up a big slice of the EU market and the summer holiday season is a key time...
