Diddy Was Holding Cassie's Career Back So She Wouldn't Leave Him

Now incarcerated rapper and music mogul, Sean "Diddy" Combs, helped some of his ex-girlfriends with their careers. For instance, it is Diddy who helped Jennifer Lopez become a singer, and I use the word loosely (Jennifer Lopez Stole Other Singers Voices For Her Albums Including Brandy And Ashanti (Video)).

Diddy taught Jennifer the ropes concerning the music industry. Diddy also got Jennifer into the fashion industry and perfume business with her own lines, which grossed hundreds of millions of dollars. Diddy helped Jennifer make a lot of money and become very famous. However, he was physically abusive and constantly cheating. The violent night club incident where Diddy shot up a club, had Jennifer hold the smoking gun in her purse, let his rapper Shyne take the fall, then lied in court, was the end of their relationship.

Diddy took a different approach with Cassie, who was an unknown, aspiring 19-year-old singer when they met; whereas Jennifer was a budding star due to the "Selena" biopic when she first began dating him. Diddy took Cassie from her boyfriend, music producer Ryan Leslie, then began hitting her and forcing her to take drugs. Then, Diddy sex trafficked Cassie.

Diddy gave Cassie a few music hits, but he did not help her become a big music star as he could have done, nor a successful actress or have her own fashion and perfume lines, as he did with Jennifer, fearing she would leave him. Diddy did far better for others on his label such as Faith Evans, Total and 112, among others, than he did for Cassie regarding procuring hit music. Diddy could have gotten Cassie a higher caliber of songs, but did not, because if she got too big she would definitely leave him due to the horrendous abuse he was throwing her way.

Diddy kept Cassie under his thumb by controlling her music career, in not making her too famous or successful, and not helping her reach her full potential in other areas of entertainment or fashion. Cassie is pretty and very photogenic. She can carry a tune. Her career should have amounted to far more than it did and that was deliberate on Diddy's end. When she tried to leave Diddy's Badboy, he flew into a rage, broke her nose and gave her black eyes.

Cassie endured ten horrible years with Diddy, which could have cost the singer her life. She was beaten, thrown into walls and furniture, dragged on the ground, and even shoved onto a rock where she hit her head. She could have died.
