Florida Is Experiencing Record
Flooding Confirming Previous Site Claims. After knocking out
electricity to the nation of Cuba, and leaving two
dead, Hurricane Ian hit Florida's southwest coast
with immense force today causing millions in damage.
Hurricane Ian is a Category 4 storm (on a scale of 1
to 5). The hurricane made landfall in Fort Myers
(Florida), which is a city that is already sea level
and contains over 400 feet of manmade canals.
There are widespread reports,
containing photos and video, of water reaching all
the way up to the second floor of homes, which
normally does not occur in Florida. A Cuban migrant
boat also sank off the coast of Florida and 20
people are missing.
Miami, which is southeast of Fort
Myers is in danger of a future hurricane with storm
surges that will exceed 30-feet. Areas such as
downtown Miami, Brickell, Coconut Grove and midtown
are at risk. Climate change is real and not enough
is being done to solve it.
