Judge Issues Restraining Order In Nike Lawsuit Against The Sale Of Copyright Infringing Lil Nas 'Satan Shoes'

April 2. 2021

Lil Nas and his "Satan Shoes"

This is a follow up to the March 31, 2021 article "Lil Nas Sued By Nike Over Copyright Infringing Satanic Shoes Containing Human Blood And Slammed For Ripping Off Music Video By FKA Twigs."

On April 1, 2021, a federal judge has slapped the company MSCHF with a restraining order regarding their weird and sick violation of copyright law to make the "Satan Shoes" sneaker line of admitted devil worshipper rapper Lil Nas.

The once kid friendly rapper has come under fire by many on social networking and blogs for stealing the Nike Air Max sneaker and desecrating it with satanic pentagrams, the number 666 (which in the Bible is the "mark of the beast" signifying Satan), blasphemous upside down crosses and human blood in the sole. It is just sick. What kind of mind comes up with something so sick and demonic.

This federal court injunction bars Lil Nas and the company MSCHF from selling the shoes. Nike wants the public to know they have no association with the altered and butchered shoe that was released without their authorization. How big is your ego that you're stealing a line of Nike shoes worth many millions (then turning it into sacrilegious garbage).

The "Satan Shoes" have caused an uproar online. People are disgusted by them and expressing their disapproval. It is clearly a Nike shoe under all the crazy, satanic crap Lil Nas added to the top in acts of severe mental illness. People are canceling Lil Nas for the disgusting shoes. Nike does not need or want the bad publicity. Nike does not want to go along for the ride.

Nike issued a statement on the matter, "We don't have any further details to share on pending legal matters. However, we can tell you we do not have a relationship with Lil Nas X or MSCHF. The Satan Shoes were produced without Nike's approval or authorization, and Nike is in no way connected with this project."

MSCHF tried to argue the shoe was infringed under the First Amendment of the Constitution, which is crazy. The First Amendment guarantees freedom of expression within the scope of the law. Not freedom to steal. Not freedom to illegally profit off others' labor.

The judge rejected MSCHF's misapplication of U.S. law. The First Amendment does not grant anyone the right to steal intellectual property and add a few weird, creepy and crazy items to it, then lazily claim the original hard work of others as your own.

That's the equivalent of breaking into someone's bank account, stealing the money contained therein, then claiming under the First Amendment it was your right to commit fraud, deceive, cheat and steal, because in your corrupt estimation it is your special privilege to break the law.

Only insane people go around stealing from others, then try to use the Constitution, which offers equal right for all, as an excuse for doing so. This is typical Hollywood. Always stealing valuable intellectual property from others that are far above their mediocre abilities.

They're always stealing things above their net worth and intellectual capabilities, then adding some stupidity to it that ruins it. That's the type of behavior one would expect from someone confined to a mental asylum.

Stop being arrogant, lazy, thieving degenerates in Hollywood and get real jobs. Sitting around stealing other people's things and slapping your arrogant, unqualified name on it is not a job. That's called being a criminal. Hollywood is an embarrassment.

People are tired of Hollywood's lack of originality and creativity. There are many comments to that effect on social networking and blogs. This greedy lack of originality and ethics is going to be your downfall as an industry and individuals.

Side Bar: Lil Nas has helped to prove what I have been stating all along about Hollywood stealing preexisting copyrights and trademarks, then slapping their names on it like lunatics.

Judge Issues Restraining Order Against Lil Nas X’s ‘Satan Shoes’

A judge sided with Nike Thursday morning in the shoe giant’s legal battle against Lil Nas X and a Brooklyn art collective’s “Satan shoes,” with the judge issuing a temporary restraining order against the unofficial Nikes.

After Nike sued the Brooklyn collective Mschf earlier this week over the modified Air Max 97 shoes — a limited-edition run of 666 pairs complete with pentagrams and human blood tied to the rapper’s Satan-featuring “Montero” video — the apparel company followed up Wednesday by filing an injunction and a temporary restraining order motion with a federal judge to prevent the sale of the shoes.

At the hearing Thursday, the Hollywood Reporter writes, Nike argued that the “Satan shoes,” although an unofficial release, had damaged the company’s reputation, with thousands of people on social media — including some well-known politicians — slamming the shoes and threatening to boycott the company...

Nike gets restraining order against Lil Nas X's "Satan Shoes," blocking all sales

Updated on: April 1, 2021 / 5:33 PM / CBS News - Nike is waging an all-out war with the devil. The apparel company has successfully blocked the sale of Lil Nas X's "Satan Shoes" — at least for now.

On Wednesday, a U.S. District Court in New York approved Nike's request for a temporary restraining order against MSCHF, the art collective that collaborated with the rapper to create a pair of sneakers containing "one drop" of human blood. They used modified Nike Air Max 97s for the collaboration.

"Nike filed a trademark infringement and dilution complaint against MSCHF today related to the Satan Shoes," Nike told CBS News in a statement Thursday. "We don't have any further details to share on pending legal matters. However, we can tell you we do not have a relationship with Lil Nas X or MSCHF. The Satan Shoes were produced without Nike's approval or authorization, and Nike is in no way connected with this project."...
