Megan Thee Stallion New Album 'Suga' Flops Under Jay Z Management Confirming Previous Site Claims

March 9. 2020

Megan thee Stallion's post on Instagram last year regarding signing with Jay Z.

This is a follow up to the September 19, 2019 article "Megan Thee Stallion Says She Is Not A Devil Worshipper But Signing With Jay Z Is Leading People To Think Otherwise." In the article I stated it was a bad idea for Houston rapper Megan the Stallion to sign with Jay Z's Roc Nation, which has an extensive history of criminal behavior and lawsuits for the same.

Last week, Megan the Stallion's new 9-track album "Suga" released under Jay Z flopped on the charts. "Suga" sold 35,000 copies. For all the promotion Megan received over the past few months, this should not have occurred. Other artists with less promotion, such as Lil Uzi Vert and Jhene Aiko, fared far better on the charts. Lil Uzi Vert sold 10 times as many copies as Megan (325,000). Jhene Aiko sold 4-times as many copies (120,000).

Megan is also in a legal battle with $170,000,000 former baseball player, Carl Crawford, who is the father of reality star Evelyn Lozada's son. She has sued him for $1,000,000 claiming his 1501 Certified Entertainment label has not paid her much money on their deal. However, Crawford correctly blames Jay Z for the legal dispute, as Megan under the foolish rapper's influence, is trying to illegally break her contract.

Megan stated Crawford only paid her a $10,000 signing fee. However, Crawford contends he paid her a $50,000, which is more than most new artists received as a signing fee. Crawford has Megan signed under a label, management and publishing contract, known as a 360 deal. As such he manages her and is supposed to receive a cut of her performance fees, among other items.

Crawford stated Megan makes "$100,000" per show and now owes him $2,000,000, as she's done many shows over the past several months and has not paid him. Megan has made millions she otherwise would not have earned had he not signed her to a deal and spent 6-figures on her career. Megan was a complete unknown before Crawford's cash and promotion using his connections to make her famous. The music industry is run on this basis.

Megan has been stating she is 23-years-old and signed the contract at age 20, when she was young and didn't know better. However, Crawford asserts Megan was actually 23-years-old and is now 28, not 23 as she asserts. Crawford also revealed Megan's late mother, who was also a rapper, looked over her contract, as did a lawyer. Crawford maintains Megan knew exactly what she was signing and just wants to get out of her deal, due to foolishness Jay Z is falsely telling her to do.

Evelyn Lozada and Carl Crawford

Megan also took Crawford to court to obtain a restraining order, to bar him from stopping her "Suga" release. A Texas judge violated the contractual agreement between Crawford and Megan, which set a terrible legal precedent. How ironic that it should turn out that "Suga" went on to flop last week. Megan should not have released it and would have been better off not having done so. This is a career setback. The lead single is not a hit. The album is subpar.

As I warned regarding Mariah Carey, in stating she should not sign with idiotic Jay Z, who does not know what he is doing, Carey's album went on to flop 2-years ago, proving my assertions correct (Mariah Carey Album 'Caution' Flops On The Charts Confirming Previous Site Claims).

Jay Z is not a real manager. He's not even a real musician. He steals music, slaps his name on it, then refuses to pay the original writers/producers, which repeatedly gets him sued. The man is a fraud and so is his thieving wife (Beyonce And Jay Z Copyright Infringement). They are also not billionaires as they falsely assert. The truth shall come out regarding that.

The fact of the matter is Crawford poured his money into Megan's career, when no one knew her on social networking, television or radio. Crawford got Megan out there and it was a big grassroots effort for an indie label. However, Jay Z is engaging in his standard corrupt, crazy poaching behavior, which I have written about on this site several times in previous articles (here and here and here and here). He goes around stealing other people's artists and athletes when they've done all the hard work to successfully put their clients out there. That's disgusting and pathetic.

Previously, I referred to the ay Z rule in the NFL, as he was poaching American footballers from management companies that put a lot of money into their careers. Jay Z is a dumb, lazy scumbag who has no original ideas and is an idiot. All he does is steal. He is always looking to get money off someone else's back and hard work.

Megan Thee Stallion Is Suing Ex–MLB Outfielder Carl Crawford for Burdening Her With a Rotten Contract

March 04, 20202:09 PM - Houston-based rapper Megan Thee Stallion, who had a breakout 2019 with her debut album Fever and was the progenitor of the nationwide sensation known as “Hot Girl Summer,” has found herself at the mercy of a crummy contract that she signed with a record label earlier in her career. Now 25, she’s using the legal route to fight back. This is a familiar problem in the music industry, as up-and-coming artists often agree to terms that are more than management-friendly.
