The estate of the late, legendary singer,
Prince, has formally moved to be released from the contract
they signed with Madonna and Jay Z's corrupt, royalty

Prince also did not like the music Jay Z
released, as it is explicit, profane and violent. Prince
referred to people like Jay Z as a part of the problem in

siblings are seeking to cancel a contract with Jay-Z's music
streaming company Tidal over the rights to release some of
the late singer's music. The Star Tribune reports on the
latest legal battle over Prince's vast catalog of songs,
this time in Carver County District Court. Sharon, Norrine
and John Nelson — three of Prince's six siblings and
half-siblings who are playing a big role in his estate —
pointed to allegations that Tidal inflated streaming numbers
and argued that that could jeopardize the estate. Tidal had
disputed the allegations when they came out in a Norwegian
newspaper last year.
Meanwhile, there could be another deal in
the works for the rights to some of Prince's earlier work.
Variety reports that Sony Music has a deal to license an
unspecified catalog of Prince's music. It's unclear exactly
what songs are covered, though one likely possibility is
Prince's post-1995 catalog and U.S. rights to many of his
earlier albums that was part of a scuttled $31 million deal

lingering dissent in the Prince estate even as new deals for
new albums are being announced, three of the singer's
siblings filed a motion in Carver County district court on
Monday to overturn a contract with Jay-Z's music streaming
company Tidal over exclusive rights to an album of
unreleased material.
Tidal is coming off a big weekend after
issuing Jay-Z's new duo album with his wife, Beyoncé, but
the Prince siblings are accusing the company of fraud over
prior albums. These are the same three of the six Prince
siblings, Sharon, Norrine and John Nelson, who previously
tried to get Troy Carter — Lady Gaga's ex-manager and a
Spotify executive — and Comerica Bank & Trust removed as the
overseers of Prince's music...
