State Department Documents Belong To The People December 10. 2010
U.S. President Barack Obama In the fall out of the Wikileaks case, the Obama Administration and others in Washington with much to hide, slammed the website for publishing State Department cables and other materials, showing a massive criminal spree by the U.S. Government, at taxpayers' expense.
U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton Considering the U.S. taxpayers have picked up the tab for what the government secretly did behind the nation's back, the documents are the property of the American people and should be subject to review by the State. The U.S. government does not own America. The American people do.
Wikileaks founder Julian Assange Therefore, why should Washington cling to taxpayer funded documents for dear life.
