'Surviving R Kelly' Documentary Confirms Worst Suspicions About Pedophile R Kelly

I’ve been watching the “Surviving R Kelly” 6-part documentary and it encapsulates all the things myself and others have been saying about the pedophile singer R. Kelly for over a decade (Why Is R Kelly Still Free). The documentary has brought to the forefront credible claims of pedophilia against R. Kelly (real name Robert Kelly).

The documentary explored his illegal sexual relationship with the late singer Aaliyah, whom he met at age 12. Kelly began having sex with Aaliyah when she was an underage girl. When Aaliyah turned 15, Kelly illegally married her, via providing the minor with a fake ID that stated she was 18, which was presented to the court. MTV received a tip and obtained a copy of the marriage certification and published it during an MTV News television segment on Kelly. It also appeared in Vibe magazine. It kicked off the scandal.
The marriage was annulled 1-year later by Aaliyah’s enraged parents.

Kelly’s former assistant, Demetrius Smith, who is featured in the documentary, admitted he helped Kelly obtain falsified documents to marry Aaliyah. He was one of many people in the celebrity’s circle aiding and abetting Kelly in raping underage girls. The documentary illustrated a common problem in the industry regarding people knowing children are being sexually abused and looking the other way to it. People who were employed by Kelly knew he was raping underage girls but did not go to the police.

The documentary revealed Kelly’s entourage arranged for underage girls to fly out to other cities while he was on the road and put them up in separate rooms at the hotels he would stay in. Kelly had different underage girls stashed in multiple rooms at the same hotel, to engage in debauched and depraved sexual behavior. His unethical assistants aided almost illiterate Kelly in these criminal endeavors.

The documentary explores Kelly’s criminal behavior that has been “hiding in plain sight.” However, years prior I stated Kelly was having Aaliyah sing about his pedophilic conduct on songs such as “Age Ain’t Nothing But A Number” and “At Your Best” but we the public just did not grasp it. It was right in our faces the whole time. We just couldn’t imagine someone was doing this to an underage girl.

Kelly’s behavior did not stop with Aaliyah. In the 1990s, Vibe magazine uncovered the fact Kelly was having sex with various underage girls, ages 11-16. Kelly privately promised many of them he would turn them into the next Aaliyah. He was using her as bait to groom and sexually assault underage girls, he promised to make stars. He fooled them into thinking he was in love with them and going to make them famous. Kelly was even having threesomes with 11-16 year olds. In the end, Kelly made none of them stars. However, he did destroy their lives. Some were hospitalized after attempting suicide.

The documentary contains comments from Leslie Segar, one of the former hosts of BET’s 1980-1990s music show “Video Soul.” During an episode of the show, R Kelly and Aaliyah, who were dressed alike like a couple, were asked if they are dating and are “girlfriend and boyfriend” which they did not answer. When asked her age, Aailyah stated “shhh” as it’s a secret, but the industry knew she was 15 at the time. Segar stated, “They would not give direct answers” and “they knew this wasn’t right.”

In the documentary, back up singer, Jovante Cunningham, stated she saw R. Kelly and Aaliyah having sex on the tour bus. The incident occurred inside the secluded bedroom area of the tour bus. As the bus was moving, the door flung open. Cunningham stated, “The door flew open on the bus. Robert was having sex with Aaliyah.”

Kelly had been brainwashing and grooming young and impressionable Aaliyah for years. They did have a sexual relationship, but some do not want to admit it. At one point, Kelly told his tour manager Demetrius Smith that he thinks Aaliyah is pregnant. Kelly was 27 and Aaliyah 15 at the time. It is believed she had an abortion.

R Kelly’s ex-wife, back up dancer, Andrea, age 43, whom he married when she was 19-years-old, stated she did not realize he was “a monster” when they wed. She stated she regrets marrying Kelly, whom she has children with and was married to for years. She stated if she had known what he was truly like, labeling him a "devil" she would not have married him. Andrea Kelly stated of her ex-husband, “You destroyed Christmases, birthdays, graduations. It is because of you Robert that my children were told they can’t sit at the lunch table because your daddy rapes little girls.”

During his marriage, Kelly cheated with underage girl Lisa Van Allen, among others. He also had sex with a 14-year-old, Reshonda Landfair, who is also picture here and here, without Allen present. Behind Kelly's back, Allen watched some of the sex tapes they had made with 14-year-old Landfair and saw him peeing all over the child’s face. He also urinated in Landfair's mouth. Allen was disgusted by the urination tape.

Allen stole one of the sex tapes featuring the 14-year-old with R Kelly and her, then gave it to someone in one of the singer's groups, for safe keeping. Later, Allen informed Kelly of what she had done and stated there may be copies floating around. Kelly paid $250,000 to get the tape back. Allen also stated Kelly discussed having her killed. Allen tearfully stated, “I just didn’t know that it was a point in time where they would talk about killing me.”

Dr. Candice Norcott appeared in the documentary and she stated of the sex tapes R Kelly made with underage girls, “Abusers often want trophies from their criminal acts. So people will take things and be able to place memories and maybe even sexual feelings on trophies that they‘ve taken. It’s power play. And you get to actively replay the act. And when that’s not enough then you make another tape.”

Indeed, psychologists profiles of sex offenders and serial killers reveal a pattern of taking or saving a trophy of some kind from the victim (clothes, body parts, a lock of hair, jewelry). R Kelly is very sick. He could have his pick of many grown women, yet he kept choosing underage girls and victimized them so horribly.

Norcott also stated, "Abusers often use isolation. So they'll have slowly overtime have isolated a girl a girl or woman from her family and then say there's nobody else for you. Nobody else cares about you but me. Where are you gonna go." This is very true. Psychotic abusers will isolate victims from family and friends. They insanely want victims to pay them all the attention and do everything they say or else.

When people talk or write about Kelly’s music, I wonder why. Kelly's entire legacy is tarnished. Who could enjoy his music knowing the sick things he has done to several dozen underage girls since the 1990s. I’ve been collecting music since I was a kid and I stopped buying anything by Kelly when the Aaliyah scandal broke in 1995.

Roughly 15-years-ago, before Kelly’s criminal trial and the scandal accompanying it broke in the press, the radio station my dad worked for wanted to send him to interview R Kelly, in a prearranged piece by Kelly's label, Sony Music, which was set to run. My dad told them “No, send someone else.” Had the interviewee been Aretha Franklin, my dad would have run to the interview like a track star, cause he admires people like her. However, Kelly gave him such a bad vibe, due to all the allegations surrounding the singer from the time of Aaliyah and the debauched nature of his music, he refused. My dad has interviewed some of the top artists in the world. His collection of interviews is impressive. However, I’d never seen him so adamant about not interviewing someone as I did regarding R. Kelly. He just flatout said no, as he doesn't agree with him.

This needs to be everyone’s attitude towards R Kelly. However, Kelly’s label Jive/Sony keeps promoting him to the masses, because it has made money. However, Sony's greedy lack of ethics has permitted Kelly to continue criminally victimizing young girls. Even during his 2007 criminal trial on child pornography charges, R Kelly was smirking at the young, underage female fans that showed up outside the courthouse to cheer him on. They naively and wrongly believed he was innocent.

One of those impressionable girls was 14-year-old Jerhonda Pace, who had skipped school to attended R Kelly’s child porn trial. She ended up meeting him, which is outrageous, considering what he was on trial for at the time. He then privately met and sexually abused her as well. Kelly was informed in advance that Pace was 16 at the time, but he told her to state she “is 19 and to act 21” then had sex with her. Kelly even encourage Pace to bring him another victim, 17-year-old Dominique Gardner. Kelly sexually abused and physically assaulted both girls (slapping, hitting and choking). For years, 1990s singer Sparkle, was accused of pimping out her 14-year-old niece, Reshonda Landfair, to R. Kelly, in exchange for a singing career. Kelly produced her music. Sparkle denies the claim, but many in the industry are not convinced. Sparkle made an appearance in the "Surviving R Kelly" documentary. She is a member of Madonna’s sick Kabbalah cult. Throughout the documentary, Sparkle prominently displayed the Kabbalah cult’s red string bracelet on her wrist, which members are ordered to do, regarding a cult who’ve also been committing sex crimes against adults and children.

Sparkle stated in the documentary that the Chicago Sun Times newspaper called her into their office to view a tape that was anonymously sent to them of Kelly having sex with a 14-year-old. Sparkle stated it was indeed her niece who had just turned 14, and Kelly on the sex tape, which featured urination, oral sex and penetration. The documentary states Kelly even urinated in the 14-year-old girl’s mouth. Prior to the illegal sex acts with a minor, Kelly gave the girl a few hundred dollars.

The photo shown in the documentary highlights just how young the 14-year-old is, especially standing next to R Kelly. Yet he was perversely attracted to a child. The whole thing is sick. You can clearly see she’s a child. In a terrible twist, the sex tape featuring Kelly and 14-year-old Landfair was sold in markets in Chicago, which resulted in a police officer obtaining a copy and getting the ball rolling in presenting criminal charges against Kelly.

R Kelly was acquitted in the criminal child porn case, which is outrageous. Toure, a journalist for a number of publications and television entertainment shows, stated on the documentary that the sex tape shown to the jurors featured R Kelly and the 14-year old having graphic sex, and someone else in the background stating, “R, Kells, pick up the phone. It’s the phone for you.” Even Sparkle stated it was her niece and Kelly on the tape. Yet the prosecutors were not able to secure a conviction, which enabled Kelly to continue raping underage girls.

R Kelly got to the Landfair family, who denied she was the one on the sex tape, making it difficult to secure a conviction. However, another minor Kelly molested, Allen, as well as 13 others stated it was Kelly and Landfair on the tape. There was clearly some corruption involved in what transpired in court and it enabled a massive pedophile to walk free.

A Sony executive stated to Sparkle, “I don’t care if that is him on the tape, because we can’t afford to lose him.” This is once again the attitude of Hollywood. If you’re making money, they don’t care if you are a pedophile or a murderer. However, these sick sins have consequences you can't buy your way out of. Andrea Kelly stated in the documentary, “You destroyed Christmases, birthdays, graduations. It is because of you Robert that my children were told they can’t sit at the lunch table because your daddy rapes little girls. You can deny all you want to and for that you can go to hell.”

Over the past 2-years, Kelly has been in the public eye again for running an illegal sex cult, holding teenage girls hostage for years and subjecting them to sick, degrading abuse that has left their families devastated. He has also isolated them for their families. People need to stop supporting R Kelly. It is giving him the funds to abuse young girls. He is destroying lives. Go find someone else to listen to and turn R Kelly's music off.

Once again, Congress needs to clean up the pedophilia problem in Hollywood. The FBI is too corrupt to do so, beholden to Hollywood criminals since the time of Robert S. It must be stopped. Impartial investigations and arrests is the only way to stop this despicable pedophilia that is harming children everyday.
