Prime Minister Theresa May Yielding On Her Visa Ban Of Foreign Doctors

June 5. 2018

Theresa May

Reports indicate British Prime Minister Theresa May is going to ease the ridiculous restrictions she placed on foreign doctors receiving visas to assist the National Health Service (NHS). The NHS applied for the visas to fill vacant posts, as Britain is experiencing a medical crisis due to labor shortages in the field.

May, who hates foreigners and has been going to sick extremes to purge immigrants from Britain, using unscientific, illusionary numeric targets she plucked out the sky, blocked the visas of tens of thousands of medical and science professionals. She also engaged in horrible financial budget cuts that have hampered the NHS. Consequentially, 10,000 more Britons than usual died between January to March of this year. That newspaper report really upset me. Those are real lives, gone. A study has been commissioned into the death surge. However, many in the press and on social networking are blaming it on May and her terrible budget cuts.

May needs to stop trying to poison the British people's minds against foreigners. She is only hurting Britain, via robbing the nation of much needed help in medicine, science and technology. I come from a third world country in the Commonwealth (Jamaica). Foreign doctors have helped on our island for years. Their assistance is greatly appreciated and proved very beneficial in the preservation of human life and health.

Therefore, I don't understand what May's problem is via engaging in this brazen discrimination. I've stated it before and I shall state it again, what does she think these foreign doctors are going to do - come to Britain and go on benefits. First of all, their visas do not permit it. Secondly, does she actually know any doctors. Does she see how they live. I know doctors in Jamaica and Britain. They are well off via the money they earn by working long, hard hours.

Going on benefits would be a marked financial decline in doctor's affluent lifestyles. Furthermore, as stated previously on the site, doctors are not going to go through 7-10 years of complex schooling at university (have you seen the curriculum), to go on benefits and not work when they can. The drive that called them to medicine is one rooted in the desire to cure sick people in a work environment.

May, much like her predecessor, David Cameron, is running off productive people from Britain and to the nation's detriment. This was never the British way.

No 10 expected to lift visa cap preventing doctors entering UK

PM under pressure after home secretary distances himself from policy in TV interview

Sun 3 Jun 2018 19.08 EDT - First published on Sun 3 Jun 2018 07.12 EDT - Downing Street is poised to announce that it will lift the cap on visas for skilled migrants that has led to more than a thousand doctors being denied entry to the UK, after the home secretary, Sajid Javid, said he was “taking a fresh look” at the policy.

Theresa May has been under intense pressure to loosen the restrictions, including from the health secretary, Jeremy Hunt, after quotas for so-called tier 2 visas began to bite in recent months. And she was left with little choice after Javid used an interview on the BBC’s The Andrew Marr Show to distance himself from key aspects of her immigration policy – including the tier 2 cap.

“A number of my colleagues have asked me to look at this and it’s exactly what I’m doing,” Javid said, when asked about reports of doctors’ visa applications being turned down. A No 10 source said the policy was kept under review, and the NHS was always a high priority in ensuring Britain’s economy has the workers it needs...
