9 Teens Gang Rape 14-Year-Old Girl December 12. 2008
17-year-old gang leader O'Neil Denton Teens all over the world today, are engaging in terrible acts of random violence and criminal mischief, wreaking havoc in their local communities and schools. Many analysts worldwide have sought to gauge what is creating this madness in them, breeding cases that leave communities appalled.
Jayden Ryan In America, Britain, the Caribbean and Europe, many stories have been published regarding wayward teens committing vicious, violent knife and gun attacks against innocent people. I am of the belief the violence, debauchery and seedy imagery presented in mainstream music, television, film and video games is a great factor in spurring youths on in committing unconscionable acts, whilst eroding their values.
Yusuf Raymond It has been reported the video game “World Of Warcraft” has so enthralled some that is causing teens to drop out of university, consumed by the dark game they play at all hours of the day. A terrible story came out of London today regarding 9 teens, ages 14-17, gang-raping and brutally beating up a 14-year old girl, who was a virgin. They completely ignored her pleas to desist in the illegal conduct and callously persisted anyway.
Weiled Ibrahim After the attack, she informed the police of the terrible ordeal, where the 9 boys forced her at knifepoint to perform oral sex on them, then raped and kicked her repeatedly. This type of dreadful, cowardly pack mentality has also presented itself in other cases around the world, where teens cruelly attacked and maimed their peers.
Jack Bartle I believe a gross lack of hope and faith, coupled with no moral values is creating an environment worldwide, where teens have no empathy or sympathy for others, believing their lives are devoid of meaning and purpose. When a person is hopeless, they can fall to levels of depravity that breeds destruction and violence. If someone has nothing to live for they won’t have much respect for others’ lives and well being either.
Alexander Vanderpuije If a teen in this modern world we live does not have faith, he or she can succumb to terrible examples of human behavior. I believe if teens had more faith in God, who loves them, better moral instruction with the understanding that there are consequences to their actions and more positive role models in the mainstream, things would not be this dire.
Cleon Brown While no person on this earth is perfect, this type of violence and unethical conduct is very serious and a reflection of the sad state of affairs regarding the world we live in. The 9 boys in the gang rape case were given sentences ranging from 3-9 years, but I believe they deserve longer stints in jail. I know they wouldn’t like it if they were gang raped and beaten in prison. While, I don’t wish it on them, hopefully the time in prison will cause them to think about the life they destroyed and the community they let down with their deeds. I hope they truly change their ways and refrain from criminally hurting anyone again. God can also forgive them if they ask. It is my hope the 14-year-old girl will be given all the assistance she needs to recover from this tragedy and other teens not perpetrate this cruelty on anyone else. I begged them and told them I was still a virgin, but they said, "You ain't going to be no more'': Schoolgirl reveals horrific gang rape ordeal A schoolgirl who was brutally raped and beaten by a gang of nine boys told today how the ordeal has destroyed her life. The 15-year-old said the ordeal in a tower block in Hackney, east London, has left her without her friends, unable to leave her house for fear of crowds and 'being punished for something I haven't done'. She told BBC Radio 4's Today programme: 'I can't go out, I can't really do nothing. Ringleader: O'Neil 'Hitman' Denton, left, ordered his friends to gang rape the 14-year-old girl in a revenge attack. Right, another gang member, 16-year-old Jayden Ryan 'Everything I used to do, like going shopping and ice skating, I can't do that now because of all the crowds. 'I've got a fear of crowds and gangs of people. Everything has changed. I had to leave all my friends behind and school.' Last week, the nine gang members responsible were jailed for her rape, kidnap and false imprisonment… The girl, who was 14 at the time, was dragged between three tower blocks in east London, raped, and beaten up by the Kingzhold Boys gang… 'They pushed me into the flats. There were these stairs and there was gap under the stair, they just cornered me. 'They asked me to perform sexual acts on them. When I refused Hitman pulled out a knife and put it up to my throat. I was thinking well I don't have a choice really.'… 'They took me up to the first floor and they turned off the light in a little corridor thing so I couldn't see nothing. 'They pushed me up in the corner and were saying again that I had to do what they said. 'When I was saying 'No I ain't doing it, I'm not doing it,' they were threatening me with the knife and the other boy was kicking me. 'They were saying 'If you just do it we'll let you go' and you think they've got a knife, there's four of them and I can't do nothing and that's the only way. I have to do it. So I did what they wanted.' She told how after forcing her to perform sex acts on them the boys forced her onto the floor and began kicking her while one of them held a knife to her throat. One of the boys also began filming the attack on his mobile phone. She said: 'I was begging them saying please I'm still a virgin and the Somalian boy said you're ain't gonna be one any more are you?'… They then forced her to Hackney's Frampton Park Estate, where they called other boys join in the attack. She told how at this point a boy she didn't with a knife know joined in: 'He said 'I don't even know you. I don't have no feelings for you so I can stab you up.' I didn't really know him and I didn't want to take chances anyway so I had to just do what all they wanted.' The young victim described how at one point she spotted an acquaintance, who she hoped would rescue her. Instead he joined in the assault. She said: 'After everyone had got what they wanted, they moved away and I saw this boy sitting on the stairs that I knew, so I went up to him and I was like 'Can you help me please?'. 'He just looked at me and laughed in my face and he asked me what I was doing here and I said 'I didn't want to be here, they brought me here'. And he said 'Ugh, you're a slag, you deserve to be here'.' She pleaded with him for help but she said his response was: 'No, I can't, I'm with my boys now.' Her ordeal was finally brought to an end by a boys she didn't know. She said: 'Every time I tried to pull my head way they smashed my head against the wall. Then this other boy asked me if I was alright. 'I said no I want to go home and he said come on I'm taking you home.'… |
