Actress Heather Locklear Arrested For Beating Up Her Boyfriend And Assaulting 3 Police Officers

Hollywood actress Heather Locklear, 56, known for roles on television shows such as "Dynasty" and "Melrose Place" and the movies "Money Talks" and "Uptown Girls" was arrested on Sunday, February 25, 2018 for domestic violence and assaulting three of four responding police officers, who responded to an incident at her home in the Sherman Oaks section of Los Angeles, California. Locklear's brother telephoned the police after witnessing an argument between the actress and her boyfriend, Chris Heisser.

When police arrived at the residence, they discovered Locklear had battered her boyfriend. When they attempted to approach and detain her, Locklear assaulted the police officers. Locklear was charged with domestic violence and three counts of battery against a police officer. Shortly after Locklear's arrest, her boyfriend was arrested for DUI (driving under the influence).

Previously, Locklear was arrested for DUI in 2008. No illegal drugs or alcohol was found in Locklear's system. However, the prosecutor stated the anti-anxiety and anti-depression prescription medication Locklear takes led to her erratic driving. She pleaded guilty to the charges and was given a $700 fine.

Months prior to the DUI incident, Locklear was the subject of a visit from police, due to the fact a doctor called 911 informing them she was suicidal. After the incident, Locklear spent one month in a treatment facility for psychological problems. In 2012, Locklear's sister telephone police when she discovered the actress had been taking prescription pills and drinking alcohol, which doctors' warn against, as it can turn deadly. She was taken to the hospital regarding the incident.

Many people in Hollywood suffer from mental illness. It runs rampant in Hollywood and often leads to members of the public being harmed. It's a strange business, full of pitfalls and vices that have consumed and destroyed many people. Being an entertainer in Hollywood is not worth it. So very few escape without any damage.

Heather Locklear arrested on suspicion of felony domestic violence

At approximately 10 p.m., deputies responded to the 4900 block of Summit View Drive regarding a domestic disturbance report, said sheriff's spokesman Capt. Garo Kuredjian.

Deputies contacted Locklear at which time she became uncooperative, Kuredjian said. He said that there was visible evidence that Locklear had battered her boyfriend, which makes the offense a felony. Authorities did not release the name of the boyfriend who was involved in the call. Locklear also allegedly was uncooperative with the deputies and became combative. “She was kicking at and pushing our deputies,” Kuredjian told the Associated Press.
