Amy Cooper Lied Stating Stranger Christian Cooper Assaulted Her In Central Park And Is Now Facing Criminal Charges (Video)

October 20. 2020

A strange fraudulent police complaint in New York just became stranger. Avid birdwatcher Christian Cooper, 57, who is black, politely asked stranger Amy Cooper, 41, who is white, to put her dog on a leash in Central Park, as she was in violation of local rules concerning the public space. This incident occurred on May 25, 2020 (the same day George Floyd was murdered).

Amy refused and became angry when Christian attempted to toss the dog a treat. The Harvard graduate was concerned he would be bitten by the dog or birds would be attacked by the canine. Amy flew into a rage, whipped out her mobile phone and called police.

Amy filed a false police complaint over the phone, using dog whistle racism in stating to the 911 call center, "an African American man is threatening" her life. He did no such thing, as his mobile phone video clearly illustrated.

Amy was charged by police with filing a false police report. She lost her six figure job and authorities took away her dog, whom she handled very roughly in the park by aggressively yanking his leash, causing the adorable canine to whelp in pain and distress, as he was choking.

Now comes word from authorities that Amy had made a second call falsely accusing Christian of trying to assault her, which mobile phone and CCTV footage shows never occurred. This is ironic, as she did later admit to police that "at no time did the man, later identified as Christian Cooper, try to assault her."

She has been hit with misdemeanor criminal charges for "falsely reporting an incident to police." Due to the incident the New York State Assembly has passed legislation making it illegal to falsely file police reports against protected groups of people, such as African-Americans, and it is now classified as a hate crime, which carries greater criminal penalties.

Under the current climate in America of racial tension and police brutality against black people, Amy's actions could have easily gotten Christian killed over a lie. She deviously played the race card against an innocent man. She was in the wrong from start to finish in this case and it serves as a terrible reminder of the dangers black people face.

It just goes to show some people's prejudices. Christian graduated from Harvard University, the top school in America, and is a science writer. Yet, all racist Amy saw based on her actions was a dumb, dangerous black man whose life is of no consequence, rendering him expendable in a police complaint. He could very well have been the most educated man in the park that day. However, Amy, who Christian is more educated than, reduced him to a dumb black man, whom she could frame to police for daring to ask her to follow park rules in placing her dog on a leash.

I sometimes wonder where people get their arrogance from when they go out of their way to look down on or belittle those more accomplished than they are in life. It just doesn't make sense. It has to be some form of mental illness or undiluted hatred. Let's face it, had a white woman or white man made the same request of Amy that Christian reasonably did, she would not have called the police and made such fraudulent, racist claims.

Then again, when you are racist and all you see is skin color, you will look down upon others regardless of their accomplishments. Still, it shouldn't matter what school Christian went to or how much money he earns. He, just like everyone else, is entitled to human rights, dignity and equality in society.
