Former pop singer Britney Spears' sister, Jamie Lynn, who became pregnant at age 16, by a 19-year-old man, Casey Aldridge, gave birth to her baby today.

The child is a girl that was delivered by Caesarean section. Jamie has named her Maddie Briann. Is the Briann a combination of Britney and Lynn or is that Jamie Lynn's brother's name, Brian, with an extra n.

No charges have been pressed against the dad, Casey Aldridge, ya'll. Both he and Jamie Lynn went around for months with that deer in headlights expression.

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Britney Spears' 17-year-old sister Jamie Lynn, star of Nickelodeon's popular TV show "Zoey 101," has given birth to a baby girl, People magazine reported on Thursday.

Jamie Lynn Spears gave birth to Maddie Briann on Thursday morning at a hospital in Mississippi, the magazine said.
