Cardi B Deactivated Her Instagram Account Over Insults Stating She Shouldn’t Have Won The Grammy

But Reactivated It After Two Days

Rapper Cardi B erupted in anger after some on social networking stated she should not have won a Grammy and after just one album. She took to Instagram and told her critics off. One could see she was genuinely hurt. While I do not listen to explicit music in any genre, Cardi B can rap and had the most talked about and purchased rap album of the year. By that criteria alone she deserved the Grammy. Many artists have won a Grammy with their first album. Therefore, it’s not unprecedented.

Much of the criticism came from fans of Cardi’s rival Nicki Minaj, who has not won a Grammy. Therefore, Cardi should not have taken the criticism to heart. They have bought into the rivalry which became all too real when Cardi and Nicki‘s entourages got into a fist fight last year at a New York Fashion Week event.

Life is too short to let people upset you over such things (an award). After all her legal troubles and marital problems, Cardi should focus on resolving issues with her criminal record. Most of all, she should continue focusing on her new, adorable baby.
