Eight Vaccinated Cruise Ship
Workers Contract Coronavirus Despite President Joe
Biden's Vaccination Drive
June 21. 2021
8 vaccinated Royal Caribbean cruise
ship workers have contracted the coronavirus. Royal
Caribbean is based in Miami, Florida. Two
vaccinated cruise ship guests have also tested
positive for coronavirus on another vessel owned by
Celebrity cruise, departing from St. Maarten. All have been
receiving medical treatment and are now
self-isolating.
The coronavirus outbreak at
Royal Caribbean has delayed their re-launch
by one month. Royal Caribbean, like so many
others in the cruise industry, had to
suspend trips due to the coronavirus
outbreak that sickened and killed many in
their industry.
As stated previously on the
site, the masks came off too early. The
vaccines can only do so much. Despite how
they were originally billed on television,
they cannot prevent you from contracting
coronavirus. Some fully vaccinated people
have even died from it (Fully Vaccinated Doctor From New
Jersey's Rutgers Medical School Dies Of Covid In His Native India).
Be careful out there. The pandemic is not
over. Many people are still setting sick and
dying, some of whom are vaccinated. Wear
your masks.

Royal Caribbean cruise
postponed after 8 crew members test positive
for coronavirus
June 16, 2021 at 12:01 p.m.
EDT - One of the first cruises scheduled to
sail from the United States has been
postponed after eight crew members tested
positive for the coronavirus during routine
testing. Royal Caribbean International’s
Odyssey of the Seas, which was scheduled to
sail to the Caribbean on July 3 from Fort
Lauderdale, Fla., will now start its first
voyage on July 31.
“Two steps forward and one
step back!” Royal Caribbean International
CEO Michael Bayley wrote in a Facebook post
Tuesday night. He said the decision was made
“out of an abundance of caution.”
It’s the latest reminder of
the difficulty of keeping the virus off
cruise ships, which have not carried
passengers from U.S. shores since March
2020. Earlier this month, two passengers on
a Celebrity cruise that left St. Maarten
tested positive during a Caribbean sailing,
despite a requirement that everyone over 16
be fully vaccinated. Also this month, two
people on an MSC cruise in the Mediterranean
tested positive during a routine test;
vaccinations were not required for that
voyage.
All 1,400 crew members on
Odyssey of the Seas got the Johnson &
Johnson vaccine on June 4, according to the
cruise line. Because the vaccine only
requires one dose, they would have been
considered fully vaccinated after two weeks
had passed. But the crew members in question
tested positive on June 10. Two have mild
symptoms, and the rest are asymptomatic...

Royal Caribbean delays

positive for Covid
June 16, 2021, 7:30 AM EDT -
Royal Caribbean International is delaying
the inaugural sailing of its Odyssey of the
Seas cruise ship after eight crew members
tested positive for Covid-19, officials said
Tuesday.
"During routine testing,
eight crew members received a positive test
result for Covid-19," company CEO Michael
Bayley said in a statement. "All 1,400 crew
onboard Odyssey of the Seas were vaccinated
on June 4th and will be considered fully
vaccinated on June 18."
Out of the eight cases, six
people were asymptomatic and two had mild
symptoms, he said. All who tested positive
for Covid-19, as well as hundreds of other
crew members, are under quarantine and being
monitored by a medical team. Odyssey of the
Seas' inaugural sailing, originally
scheduled for July 3, is now set for July
31...
