Facebook Is In More Trouble As News Emerges They Have Been Collecting Your Phone Calls And Text Messages For Years

March 26. 2018

Facebook has been struggling under the scandal that saw the company Cambridge Analytica data mine over 50,000,000 of its social networking users. Facebook CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, has been ordered into the British parliament, European parliament and Congress, to give an explanation over the invasive incident. The European Parliament are threatening massive fines in the billions over the scandal.

But wait, it gets worse. News broke this week courtesy of Ars Technica revealing, Facebook has been surreptitiously logging your text messages and phone calls for years. People are outraged at the news. Facebook has been scraping all the names of your friends and business associates, their telephone numbers, call times and SMS and MMS metadata.

As stated on the site three weeks ago, well before the current scandals broke, years ago, former FBI Director, Robert S. Mueller, aggressively pursued Zuckerberg at a public event and privately roped him into spying on Facebook users (Blackberry Has Sued Facebook For Copyright Infringement).

This experience has been shared by a number of other Facebook users who spoke with Ars, as well as independently by us—my own Facebook data archive, I found, contained call-log data for a certain Android device I used in 2015 and 2016, along with SMS and MMS message metadata...
