Gallup Poll States Candidates Are Still Tied At 44%

August 15. 2008

Barack Obama (Democrat)

The 2008 U.S. presidential election between Democrat, Barack Obama, and Republican, John McCain is still tied. This means either man has a chance of taking the election, as it is not a sure thing at this point. No one should take it for granted.

It must make the candidates tired to hear the results of the polls. They're knocking themselves out campaigning for months and every time they look up Gallup is screaming "tied" (LOL). Just teasing.

McCain, Obama tied in Gallup tracking poll

PRINCETON, N.J., Aug. 15 (UPI) -- A Gallup tracking poll Friday finds the two presumptive U.S. presidential nominees tied and more voters undecided or planning to vote for another candidate.

Support for Illinois Sen. Barack Obama, the likely Democratic candidate, has dropped slightly to 44 percent, while Sen. John McCain of Arizona, his Republican counterpart, is holding steady, also at 44 percent. So far in August, Obama has averaged 47 percent and McCain 43 percent.
