"The Hills" House Hit With City Citation

Why Is The Man Always Picking On People

She Pays Her Taxes, Leave Her Alone

July 16. 2008

"The Hills" reality TV star Lauren Conrad and her friend Audrina have been citied by the City of Los Angeles. No, Audrina is not an illegal immigrant, but their house is, as it does not have the necessary paperwork (Hey, I'm an immigrant, so I can make that joke).

The guesthouse of the residence has been cited as an illegal structure built without a permit. This happens all the time all over the world. People build stuff or make additions and don't pull permits.

However, considering Lauren just bought the home she should have title insurance to protect her. You do have insurance, don't you?! If not, yea, you're pretty much up a creek.

'The Hills' guest house under investigation as an illegal residence

The City of Los Angeles' Department of Building and Safety is currently investigating whether or not the guest house inhabited by Patridge on Conrad's property is an illegal residence, Access Hollywood reported Tuesday.

According to the Multiple Listing Service, the house on Conrad's property -- which is zoned as a Single Family residence in the Department of Building and Safety's Building Permit and Clearance Handbook -- is only permitted for one dwelling, Access Hollywood Reported.
