Israel And Palestine On The Verge Of A Ceasefire After Two Weeks Of Bombing That Resulted In A Terrible Death Toll (Videos)

Video: "Israeli-Palestinian Conflict Rages On Amid Talk Of Ceasefire"

For the past two weeks Israel and Palestine have been bombing each other in the Middle East. It is speculated the current disagreement emanated from six families being evicted from Jerusalem.

Video was posted of the Palestinian families being thrown out of their homes, under what the Israelis stated was a real estate agreement from 150-years ago. Questions need to be answered about this, as Israel became a nation in 1948, which is 73-years ago. How was a leasehold in effect. These eviction sound questionable. A formal explanation needs to be given to the world, as it has started a global scandal.

Mainstream news outlets in America state the eviction of the six Palestinian families from Jerusalem was the catalyst for Hamas firing rockets into Israel, killing several people, including a child. Israel responded by firing rockets into Palestine, killing over 60 people, including 40 children.

Israel also bombed a building in Gaza housing the Associated Press, which is an American news organization. The Israeli government gave the occupants 1-hour to clear the multi-story building. They stated Hamas was in the building and they shared intelligence with the U.S. government to that effect. However, unless this intelligence is made public, people will continue to publicly state Israel violating international law via an attack on journalists. At the end of the day, social networking has provided a greater reach to global audiences than many mainstream outlets.

Hamas was wrong to fire into Israel. However, Israel's response was to heavy handed. The sight of dozens of dead children in Palestine has shaken the world. That was an awful visual, seeing dead children being pulled from the rubble. Each nation has a right to defend itself but it must be within an ethical standard.

Israel and Palestine must abide by the two state agreement. Israel must desist from building on land in violation of the international agreement. Israel is considered the Holy Land. Israel's Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, needs to start acting like it.

As a Christian I don't like what Netanyahu has been doing. His behavior has become indefensible. Netanyahu's criminal fraud case doesn't look good, his heavy-handedness in military conflicts such as the current escalation is troubling, and his treatment of black immigrants in Israel is appalling. Netanyahu's conduct is creating anti-Semitism in the world. It's time for him to step down.

Hamas continues to behave like a terrorist organization. There was no necessity to fire rockets into Israel over an eviction. It was completely irrational and dangerous. This misconduct started a horrible conflict that has left dozens dead, including many children.

Rather than pay re-house the six families who were evicted, and I know both Israel and Hamas have the money to do so, as you're all spending enormous sums of money on weapons to kill each other, one side, Hamas, decides to fire rockets, over an eviction. You're going to have to do better than this.

There should be an international court where these evictions can be fairly heard and resolved, with the results binding regarding both parties. Evidence needs to be presented regarding land ownership as well.

The world does not want violence in Israel or Palestine. These conflicts must desist. At a time the world is struggling with the coronavirus pandemic, none of the aforementioned violence should have occurred. It was the worst time possible.

It prompted fears of World War 3 all over the globe, where international citizens nerves are already frazzled from coronavirus, lockdowns, job losses and worst of all Covid deaths. The last thing the world needs is more conflict. Everyone needs to dwell peacefully and in safety.
