Kanye West Sued Again For Stealing Songs

July 19. 2010

Barry Manilow sang "I write the songs" but Kanye steals them

Rapper, irritator and whiner, Kanye West, has been sued once again, for stealing copyrighted music. This is West's fourth copyright lawsuit the public knows about. This time a case has been filed in Illinois, West's home state, by songwriter/producer, Vincent “Vince P.” Peters, stating the rapper stole the track "Stronger" from his preexisting song of the same name.

He contends in legal papers, both songs share similarities in music and lyrics. "Stronger" went on to sell 3,000,000 copies for West. "Stronger" really does not sound like West's musical forte or fare at all, marking a departure from his previous style.

The Plaintiff is claiming access, via West's business manager, John Monopoly, who he played a copy of the song to at his home, when seeking a music deal. This is one of the most common ways independent and unsigned artists are robbed of their copyrighted music by unscrupulous Hollywood stars and executives.
