Kevin Hart Sues YouTube Vlogger Tasha K For Extortion, Invasion Of Privacy And Defamation

December 30. 2023

Kevin Hart

Hollywood actor and comedian Kevin Hart has sued You Tube vlogger Tasha K, real name Latasha Kebe, for an unspecified sum, accusing her of extortion, invasion of privacy and defamation. Hart stated in his lawsuit that Tasha K contacted him about a tell-all interview she conducted with his former assistant, Miesha Shakes, whom he has also sued, and stated if he did not pay $250,000, the damaging item would air on her YouTube channel. That's definitely extortion.

Hart refused to pay and Tasha K aired the interview on her YouTube channel. According to the lawsuit, Shakes signed a confidentiality agreement with Hart, but violated it in doing a tell-all interview with Tasha K. Shakes stated Hart cheated on his wife (the public already knew that). She also stated he has a gambling problem and paid someone millions to accept DUI (driving under the influence) charges on his behalf.

The Business Insider reported, "In the teaser clip posted on Kebe's YouTube channel on December 22, she says, "'When you don't pay, we have to get money by any means necessary,' which the suit alleges was a threat toward Hart.'"

Tasha K

That's definitely extortion. Tasha K needs to be careful, as she could get herself into criminal trouble with the aforementioned conduct alleged in Hart's lawsuit, and with what she stated at the outset of the tell-all interview regarding not paying the extortion money.

Here's the thing - Hart has cheated on his first and second wives. This is not news. He acknowledged this. Therefore it is not defamation. However, alleging he has a gambling problem and had someone take DUI charges for him, without proof, could make those segments of the lawsuit stick against Tasha K and Shakes.

Previously, rapper Cardi B won a $3,900,000 judgment against Tasha K for defamation. Tasha K is just racking up these lawsuits, isn't she (LOL).
