L.A. Reid Destroyed The Career Of
Singer Toya Because Her A&R Representative Drew
Dixon Would Not Have Sex With Him (Video)
April 23. 2022
Former Arista A&R executive (artist
and repertoire) Drew Dixon has slammed promiscuous
former married CEO, Antonio "L.A." Reid for sexually
harassing her in the work place. Dixon stated on
Twitter, "Toya didn't blow up because I wouldn't
sleep w/ @LA_Reid. I signed her and made the album.
When I refused to "listen to Toya's album" in L.A.
Reid's hotel room, he killed her promo budget."
L.A. Reid
This is the exact thing Reid got in
trouble for regarding another female music
executive. Dixon is one of many women Reid targeted,
so much so, one grew fed up and sued Sony Music,
leading to his termination for sexual harassment and
embezzlement. Reid had summoned a former assistant
to his hotel room during an alleged business trip,
then demanded she lay in bed and hold him.
TLC, L.A. Reid and Pebbles in
1992. Rozanda "Chilli" Thomas had to have sex with
Reid to get into wife Pebbles' group TLC,
unbeknownst to Pebbles at the time.
Previously, Reid infamous summoned
18-year-old interns to his office at former label
Def Jam, demanding they perform oral sex on him (Joe
Budden Calls Antonio Reid A Sexual Predator).
Reid's behavior was completely appalling and
predatory.

Reid's Hitco label is currently
struggling, as he doesn't have former songwriting
and production partner, Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds,
as well as Reid's ex-wife, Pebbles, to prop him up.
Babyface was writing a lot of the songs at LaFace.
Pebbles was signing many of the artists at LaFace,
finding songs and producer/songwriters to come up
with material. However, as L.A. took the title of
CEO at Arista, he got most of the credit.

Reid
Don't get me wrong, Reid is a good
drummer and wrote a few songs, such as the hit
"Every Little Step" which ironically was about
Pebbles, but Babyface was doing most of the work in
the studio. Notice when they split as production
partners Reid stopped writing and producing music,
but 30-years later Babyface is still making songs.
Songwriter/producers Dallas Austin and Daryl
Simmons, respectively, were also a part of the
Laface label success.
