Lee Daniels Denounces Jussie Smollett Who Cost Hundreds Of People Their Jobs When Fox Cancelled Black Shows After Hate Crime Hoax

"Empire" television show producer, Lee Daniels, has stated he is embarrassed for defending disgraced actor, Jussie Smollett, who staged a hate crime in Chicago, where the show is filmed. Smollett staged an attention seeking hoax in January, then went to police and fraudulently claimed two white men, who are President Trump supporters, beat him up, doused him in bleach, tied a noose around his neck, and yelled racist and homophobic slurs at him ("you're that fa**ot 'Empire' ni**er").

Police investigated and discovered Smollett staged the hate crime with two fellow black actors from "Empire." He did so for a salary increase and publicity. Smollett has now been sued by the City of Chicago for $130,000 in reimbursement, for wasting police time and resources. Smollett's behavior has led to Daniels' Fox shows "Empire" and "Star" being cancelled under a massive backlash from audiences. Other shows on "Empire" with black leading actors were also cancelled. Smollett has cost many people their jobs and worst of all damaged race relations.

Both Smollett and Daniels are openly gay men. In fact, Smollett, 36, got the job on "Empire" via the casting couch, regarding 60-year-old Daniels, who prefers much younger men (including teens). After receiving sexual favors from Smollett in exchange for fame, Daniels has now thrown him under the bus for costing everyone their jobs. Daniels is tainted by his association with Smollett and is trying to distance himself from the actor, who was also exposed during the hoax as being a hardcore, illegal drug user.

Smollett called in favors with bisexual former U.S. President, Barack Obama, who dispatched his aide, Tina Tchen, to get the charges against him dismissed and the case sealed in the politician's former constituency. However, due to publicly outcry and lawsuits from the press, the case was unsealed and revealed a mountain of evidence that proves Smollett staged the hate crime and was breaking the law in buying illegal drugs, such as cocaine.

Barack Obama has long been rumored to be bisexual from his days in Chicago. When he ran for president gay men came forward stating he would frequent gay bars and bathhouses in the area when he was a community organizer. Men also came forward stating they dated Obama.

Tchen is now in trouble and fighting a subpoena she has repeatedly dodged, regarding an investigation into her behavior and that of Cook County Attorney General, Kim Foxx, who let Smollett off the hook on Obama's orders. Three prosecutors have also fled their jobs under public death threats, for their role in dropping the charges against Smollett. All this trouble and job loss in the legal system and Hollywood, because Smollett is a greedy, money hungry, attention seeker and narcissist.

This week Daniels stated of Smollett, "I'm beyond embarrassed. I think that when it happened, I had a flash of me running from bullies. I had a flash of my whole life, of my childhood, my youth, getting beaten. Of course, there’s some doubt. I’m telling you that because I love him so much. That’s the torture that I’m in right now, because it’s literally, if it were to happen to your son and your child, how would you feel? You would feel, 'Please, God, please let there be that glimmer of hope that there is some truth in this story.' That’s why it’s been so painful. It was a flood of pain."

'Empire' creator Lee Daniels on the Jussie Smollett scandal: 'I’m beyond embarrassed'

Jun 13, 2019, 9:20 AM ET - Smollett was charged with faking the attack, but the charges were eventually dropped. The city of Chicago is suing the actor for the cost of the investigation. Meanwhile, Daniels is looking back at his initial reaction to the alleged crime and opening up about how he feels now.

“I’m beyond embarrassed. I think that when it happened, I had a flash of me running from bullies,” Daniels told Vulture. “I had a flash of my whole life, of my childhood, my youth, getting beaten." Smollett portrayed Jamal Lyon on "Empire," a character Daniels developed based on his own life. Daniels admitted it would feel like a "huge betrayal" if it turns out that Smollett "did it, was guilty, and all of [the police investigation was] accurate.”...
