McCain Chooses A Chick

Republican presidential nominee John McCain has chosen a woman as his running mate. Her name is Sarah Palin. She is a 45-year-old governor from the state of Alaska.

Sneaky McCain is definitely going after Hillary Clinton’s demographic with this choice. The photogenic Palin is 15 years younger than Hillary. This is also an attempt to allay fears regarding McCain’s age, which is 72.

Palin is also anti-abortion and pro-faith, which will undoubtedly appeal to conservatives. I have to admit, it was a smart move on McCain’s part.

I also believe it was a smart choice for Obama to choose a white man as a running mate. A ticket with a black man and white (or black) female, especially one with reported lesbian leanings (Hillary Clinton) would have been too much for some voters to deal with. Biden has increased Obama’s chances.

Let’s be honest here. All is not equal in America in terms of how people are perceived and  treated based on race. If you’re black, some will consider you less than a white person. If you’re a woman, some will consider you less than a man. If you’re an immigrant, some will consider you less than a natural born citizen.
